COVID UPDATE as of JULY 31, 2021

Because of the dangerous COVID situation in our State and our County, and for the safety of all of us, Fr. Emmanuel has canceled and postponed all gatherings in our parish of more than 10 people. This does not apply to the celebration of Mass and other rituals of the Church. Although the Bishop, as of today, has not changed the last directives, we ask that each person, vaccinated or not, use common sense and charity and consider the safety of others before our own individual desires or preference. The Bishop is asking us to encourage everyone who is not vaccinated yet, to please do so, for your safety and the safety of those around you. It is imperative for the preservation of the sacred life that has been given to us by God.

• •  “Ask Fr. Mike…” scheduled for Wednesdays, and beginning on August 4, has been postponed because of this for the next several weeks, until COVID is more controlled. We will keep you posted as to when we will have our first gathering. Hopefully very soon we will have exciting news that we are ready for it. Stay tuned.

• • Religious Education Classes: We are awaiting directives from the Diocese about how we are to proceed with Schools and Religious Education for our Children. We understand we will receive notification on Monday, August 2 and we will let you know how we are proceeding. For the moment we know that our large Opening Gathering scheduled for August 22, is cancelled until further notice.

• • Other Gatherings: Please check our website, calendar, or call the office as to other activities. Groups with 10 people or less can continue to meet observing the proper precautions of mask wearing, distancing, and sanitizing.

• January 1 2021: Saturday Vigil and Sunday Mass Times have reverted to the original times, with safe-distance and masks required at all Masses. Space is limited to about 100 per Mass. Times are Saturday Vigil at 5:00pm and Sundays: 8:00am; 9:30am, 11:15am and 6:00pm. Daily Masses are celebrated Monday thru Friday at 7:00am and 9:30am and Saturdays at 9:00am. Scheduled Funerals may occur on any weekday at 9:30am or Saturday at 9:00am Mass. Confessions are on Saturdays after the 9:30am Mass until 10:15am and from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. August 29 2020: We will resume our Saturday Morning Masses beginning at 9:00am on August 29th, followed by morning confessions from 9:30am to 10:15am. We will continue Saturday afternoon confessions from 2pm to 3pm.June 14 2020: This weekend, June 13/14th, we will have the 5pm Vigil, 9:30am, and 11:15am Masses. Beginning the weekend of June 20th/21st, we will resume offering all Masses, except the 8am.  The 5pm Vigil Masses will be livestreamed.June 15 2020: Starting Monday, June 15th, we will resume offering the 9:30am Daily Mass in the main church building. Please note that this is for the 9:30am Mass, Monday through Friday only. The 7am Masses and Saturday 9am Masses are still canceled for the moment.Confessions will be from 2-3pm on Saturdays until further notice. Confessions by appointment are always available.At this point time, we are still requiring everyone who enters the church and all parish buildings to wear a mask, unless under 2 years of age.Fr. Emmanuel thanks all for the spirit of community and cooperation that you have all demonstrated over the past several weeks! It has been a challenge for all of us, but together, we will continue to make all of our efforts to restore our accessibility to the Sacramental life of our Church. May 23 2020: Masses resumed at Holy Faith on Pentecost Sunday at the 5pm Vigil Mass and 9:30am Mass. Directives and Guidelines were emailed and posted here on our website (see video of the safety measures in place).Bishop  Estévez has extended the suspension of Mass “until further notice” (originally March 31); and also extends the dispensation for all the Catholic faithful from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass “until the suspension is rescinded.”See attached UPDATE as of 24 March 2020.Although we cannot come together inside the Church to celebrate the Mass in community we must remember that the church building, although a Holy place, is just a building, and “We are the CHURCH” together, no matter where we are. To help us during this time when Mass is not available inside the church we are providing many resources to participate in prayer and thanksgiving with the celebration of Mass online. This resource is in our bulletin dated  22 March 2020.There are many other resources online and on the social media sites, like Facebook and youtube. Bishop Estévez will have Sunday Mass on Facebook live on Sundays at 10:00am.  Be sure to keep your notifications on.
