SUNDAYS AT HOLY FAITH
We have provided this opportunity to follow the Mass in writing together at Holy Faith, as an extra resource, in the hope it helps everyone to live the Mass in their hearts and minds and helps them to grow in their faith as well. We pray that this experience has helped you feel connected to our Parish of Holy Faith. As you may have read we are now preparing to resume public Mass as soon as possible.
In order to accomplish this feat very soon we are organizing a COVID-19 Team of members and friends or aquantainces, Catholic or not, to be trained to put into place the necessary safety measures per the Diocese guidelines. We wish to celebrate the Mass with everyone and receive the precious gift of the Holy Eucharist again sooner rather than later. But we must think first of the health and wellbeing of our parishioners and visitors and put the best plan in motion. Again to do this we need HELP. We can’t do it without you! Please if you are between the ages of 14-40 sign-up to be trained and make this happen. We will not turn anyone away that is healthy and willing to assist as long as they are not in the vulnerable group. Thank you to those who have signed up, but we are in need of more.

Profession of Faith: The Nicene Creed
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Prayers of the Faithful:
Let us pray to God, our loving Father, and present our needs and petitions confident that he knows what we need in these and all things:
- For the whole church as we grow in wisdom and in the Spirit; for a growing commitment to follow Christ as the way, the truth, and the life, let us pray to the Lord.
- For our continued prayer for the cessation of this pandemic, for the transformation of the hearts and minds of our country and of the entire world to honor and protect the good earth that God has given us, and for the acceptance of our own failures to do so, let us pray to the Lord.
- For a spirit of love and compassion for those who are in nursing homes and have increased vulnerability to the virus; for a prompt response from our leaders and from all to assist them with the materials, personnel, and equipment they need to survive, and for a greater sense of honor and reverence to the life of elders among us, let us pray to the Lord.
- For courage and strength for those who have lost their jobs and are struggling to get food and care for their families, for our compassionate hearts to reach out to them in the name of Jesus and offer hope for those who despair, let us pray to the Lord.
- For gratitude and support for all workers who are feeding us, protecting our health, cleaning our garbage, caring for our children, and reaching out to all in need during this crisis, for them to experience strength and encouragement from our outreach to them, let us pray to the Lord.
- For those among us who have doubts of faith and are troubled by fear, depression, and loneliness, for an outpouring of the mercy of Christ among for all who are suffering, let us pray to the Lord.
- For the mothers and grandmothers of our parish community; for women who are pregnant especially those who feel alone and separated from their loved ones, for those who are struggling with their pregnancy, for courage and compassion for all of us to reach out to them and bring the comfort of Jesus’s mercy into their lives, let us pray to the Lord.
- For those who have died, especially mothers and grandmothers, and especially those who have died or are dying separated from their children and loved ones, for strength for the health care providers that assist them in their passing into a new life, for those who need our love and compassion especially for all those whom we now lift up in silent prayer, …[pause]…let us pray to the Lord.
Loving God and Father, You sent your Son to accompany us in our journey and to show us the way, the truth, and the life, Hear our prayers that our hearts may not be troubled but filled with faith in your care for us.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

The Liturgy of the Eucharist: Presentation and Preparation of the Gifts

Take a moment and in thanksgiving to present your gifts to God and then close your eyes and imagine for a moment that you are physically at Mass experiencing everything that happens next.
That my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father.
May the Lord accept this sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.
The Eucharistic Prayer: Preface
The Lord be with you.

We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

Father continues with a Eucharistic Prayer and we sing:

The Communon Rite:
At the Savior’s command and formed in divine teaching, we dare to say:

Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming or our Savior, Jesus Christ.
