Merry Christmas to all! Welcoming our New Born King once again, let’s reflect on the great Love of God, who sent His only Son to save the world. Emmanuel, God is with us all the time. Sing now with the angels: Hark the Herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King!” The songs continues: “Peace on Earth and Mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled! Joyful all ye nations rise, join the triumph of the skies, with angelic host proclaim “Christ is born in Bethlehem” Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King!”

The angels are messengers of the Kingdom of God announcing the arrival of the newborn King to the world and the results are “Peace on earth, “Mercy” and “Joy”. The birth of Jesus is one of glory and humility. This newborn King, who brings peace on earth, is born in a feeding trough. His arrival is announced by a choir of angels, but they are singing to poor shepherds in the middle of nowhere. What do we discover? the answer is Jesus, the Sovereign Lord, who is the Lion and the Lamb, who wears heaven’s crown and wins it by a cross.

The rest of this song, tells the full story and is a great way to reflect on what Christmas is all about. “Jesus is the Reason!”

May we know and feel God’s great Love all the time, remembering how he came to us on Christmas Day and how He is here for us always.

God Bless and may you be touched by God’s Grace and Peace forever.

Part 2 of this reflection will be published tomorrow, December 26, 2019. ‘Adapted from a blog on a Christian website with permission.
