The Diocese of St. Augustine offers couples preparing for marriage, instruction in natural family planning. NFP is highly effective in helping couples either achieve or avoid pregnancy.

Elected and appointed members of the parish who serve as an important advisory group to the Pastor on matters of parish life. The Council meets the 1st Wednesday of each month, September to June. Parishioners may schedule a time to address the Council regarding any concern by calling the office to contact the Parish Council Chair, 376-5405.
Time: To serve on the Council, 2 hours for evening meeting once a month.
Talent: A willingness to serve and advise the Pastor.
The parish nurses are registered nurses who volunteer their time and talents in educating parishioners about good health. The parish nurses work collaboratively with other ministries, especially the Angels of Mercy, to accomplish activities, such as health fairs, health education and promotion programs, social activities, the phone tree ministry, and visitations to the sick in the parish to make assessments and recommendations, if needed.
Time: 1 to 2 hours per month.
Talent: Parish nurses must have an active license to practice in the State of Florida, a commitment to the faith teaching of the Catholic Church and a caring spirit.
The making of a prayer blanket is a symbol of our caring and compassionate spirit and our parish’s covering of prayer for the individual who receives it. These blankets are blessed before they are given away.
Time: 1 to 2 hours per month creating blankets and praying for recipients.
Talent: A caring spirit. Know how to sew, knit, crochet or quilt.
Involves religious education classes and service projects, plus one retreat. Parents are asked to attend some of the classes (Must have completed one full year of religious education.)
Time: Sessions are held during CCF Sunday time slot (10:40am to 12:00Noon). A calendar will be provided.
Talent: A willingness to complete Confirmation preparation classes, attend Catholic Youth Ministry Group meetings and serve the parish through service projects.
Preparation for the Sacraments involves parent participation along with children and youth attending special preparation classes. Children and youth must be attending CCF regularly, or enrolled in Catholic School or Catholic home schooling.
Time: Minimum of 6 hours of classes and retreat for each sacrament and in addition to Sunday CCF classes or Catholic school.
Talent: Open to learning about Jesus and our Catholic faith.
In the spirit of a Corporal Work of Mercy, volunteers are given the opportunity to minister to those in our local correctional institutions. Must go through clearance process at the institution.
Time: Group visits Union County Correctional Institution on the second Saturday of every month. Also provides a Christmas party for the inmates. There is also a visit to the Union County RMC West Unit usually on the third Saturday of every month.
Talent: A compassionate heart and a desire to evangelize to the incarcerated.
Each Facilitator prepares a lesson once per month. Scheduled facilitator and all sponsors attend 11:15am Mass. Facilitators and sponsors must have a basic knowledge of our Catholic faith and desire to share their faith with and pray for the Candidates and Catechumens.
Time: 2 hour Facilitator’s meeting once a month. Facilitators and sponsors commit to the RCIA schedule weekly in support of the Catechumens and Candidates.
Talent: A desire to help those discerning about the Catholic faith in any way they can during and after the RCIA process. We always need new sponsors. Sponsors are needed to pray and support each candidate throughout their faith journey and after.
For all who are seeking to become Catholics through Baptism, Confirmation & Eucharist (Catechumens) and for those already baptized in another Christian community (Candidates) who desire full communion with the Catholic Church. The process also involves parishioners who assist as catechists and sponsors of these adults.
Time: Year-round Catechumenate process of conversion is unique to each individual. Attend 11:15am Mass followed by “Breaking Open The Word” and for a lesson on Catholic faith.
Talent: Committment to the the R.C.I.A. schedule and journey of faith each Sunday.
Parishioners who meet to pray the Rosary at 9:00am and 10:00am (before and after the weekday 9:30am Mass) and on Saturdays at 9:30am.
Time: Meet in the Chapel at 9:00am Monday thru Saturday.
Talent: Love and devotion to our Blessed Mother.
