SUNDAYS AT HOLY FAITH
We have provided this opportunity to follow the Mass in writing together at Holy Faith, as an extra resource, in the hope it helps everyone to live the Mass in their hearts and minds and helps them to grow in their faith as well. We pray that this experience has helped you feel connected to our Parish of Holy Faith. As you may have read we are now preparing to resume public Mass Saturday, May 30 at 5pm and Sunday, May 31 at 9:30am. Please read our updates via all our media outlets. For the first few weeks we are asking for sign-ups only to help us track how many may be attending each Mass. To help us, please sign up if you have not done so as of yet. Our Masses will also be livestreamed beginning on Pentecost for those who will watch from home.

“The Ascension of the Lord … What is the Message?“
Profession of Faith: The Nicene Creed
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Prayers of the Faithful:
With confidence let us place our petitions before God who hears the prayers of our hearts:
- For God’s pilgrim people throughout the world, for a willingness to follow the path of love and mercy that God has set for us, let us pray to the Lord.
- For blessings and protection upon our cities who are re-opening businesses and services for our churches and all houses of worship, for the people who gather for prudence and wisdom for our nations’ and religious leaders, let us pray to the Lord.
- For those who have served our country and whom we remember on the Memorial Day weekend, for those who lost their lives in defending our country, and for the families who survived them and mourned them, for courage and strength as they celebrate them, let us pray to the Lord.
- For an affirmation and awareness of the dignity of all human life, especially during this time of pandemic, for an attitude and response of care and solidarity with those who have been affected by the coronavirus and those who are at risk, let us pray to the Lord.
- For courage and strength for those who have lost their jobs and are struggling to get food and care for their families, for our compassionate hearts to reach out to them in the name of Jesus and for hope for those who despair, let us pray to the Lord.
- For continued gratitude and support for all workers who are feeding us, protecting our health, cleaning our garbage, caring for our children, and reaching out to all in need during this crisis, for them to experience strength and encouragement from our outreach to them, let us pray to the Lord.
- For children and youth, especially those who are orphans and abandoned, for a response of love and compassion from us as we witness Christ to those whom we encounter, let us pray to the Lord.
- For those who have died, most recently Katherine Lowe, for those who have died or are dying separated from their children and loved ones, for strength for the health care providers that assist them in their passing into a new life, for those who need our love and compassion especially for all those whom we now lift up in silent prayer, …[pause]…let us pray to the Lord.
Almighty God,
Enlighten our minds with your wisdom, fill our hearts with your love, and grant the petition we make, according to your will.

The Liturgy of the Eucharist: Presentation and Preparation of the Gifts
Presentation: “Lord of the Dance”
Take a moment and in thanksgiving to present your gifts to God and then close your eyes and imagine for a moment that you are physically at Mass experiencing everything that happens next.
That my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father.
May the Lord accept this sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.

- RESUMING MASSES AT HOLY FAITH: Finally, we will be resuming some Masses next weekend: Saturday, 5pm Vigil and Sunday, 9:30 am. Because of the social distancing requirement we have limited seating.
- CONFESSIONS: The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available next Saturday, May 30 from 2-3pm. Confessions cannot be done inside a confessional at the moment but there will be stations on the patio in designated spaces to protect privacy. If the weather does not cooperate, confessions will be inside the Church and Chapel also in designated places. Masks will be required.
