In making plans for the Funeral of our beloved Pastor, Fr. John, we, the staff of Holy Faith with Fr. Emmanuel, Fr. Clyde and Deacon Michael, want our parishioners to know that we would like to include celebrating Fr. John’s life in a more informal way with all of you, before the Prayer Vigil begins on Friday. October 25. As we are all grappling to understand how we are to cope, we place our faith in the Holy Spirit.
Just like family would gather before a funeral, we would like to invite our church family to gather together this Friday, October 25th at 5:30pm, in the Parish Life Center, for a potluck simple meal (we will provide the main entree). The intention is to support one another as the wonderful community that we are, to share a meal, something Fr. John so much loved to see and be a part of. Please bring an entree, salad, or dessert. We so much want to be with our family at this time.
We will have a book of dedication to Fr. John, and ask for anyone who would like to share their memories and honor Fr. John’s life by writing a tribute, ponder what you might want to say, come and write it in this momento of his life. Join us Friday before the Prayer Vigil. The Vigil starts at 7pm in the church.
